Lerning the iPhone by Touch

National Braille Press is iPhone Tutorial Leader

The National Braille Press is certainly doing its part to promote iPhone accessibility among the blind and visually impaired.

Last week, it released the iPhone Tactile Screenshot Quick Reference Guide - a book of raised diagrams of iPhone screens produced by Mississauga, ON-based Tactile Vision.

The real value of this $27 book is how it enables readers to orient themselves on the device, scanning the raised diagrams with one hand, while the other explores the corresponding screens, icons, and controls on the iPhone itself.

It's NBP's third iPhone-related book in less than a year. In 2011, it released Getting Started with the iPhone: An Introduction for Blind Users, and Twenty-Six Apps for Blind iPhone Users.
