iPod touch Accommodates Vision Mobility Impaired Users

Voice Control makes iPod touch more accessible.

I just finished writing how accessibility features built into Apple's iPod touch make it easier for blind and visually impaired people and users with mobility limitations.

I'm impressed that a device called "touch" doesn't exclude the less dextrous, and how accessible it is to those who cannot see the screen -- even though its chief uses are as a hi-rez media player and game console.

I still think the best-kept secret about the iPod touch is its value: $199, no wireless plan needed (assuming you're a Mac user), and you still get most iPhone functionality, including Retina display and FaceTime calling.

An iPhone with no plan costs $620.

An iPad would be easier to see, but for the price, iPod touch is a perfect fit.
